WIRED: Wirral SEND Partnership Service

Under the Part 3 of Children and Families Act 2014, each Local Authority in England are required to provide a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS). IAS Services are governed by a set of National Minimum Standards for IASS. The Council for Disabled Children operates the IAS Network and are responsible for providing training and support to IAS Services.

WIRED are commission to deliver the SENDIASS in Wirral, known as Wirral SEND Partnership. This support is offered in a range of ways which includes face to face, a telephone helpline with a 24-hour answer machine facility, bookable advice slots, email, website and social media. Wirral send Partnership also operate drop-in sessions at local Family Hubs across the Borough, during term time.

SEND IAS Services also provide information, advice and training to professionals who work with children and young people with SEND.
