Founded by Candy Shaw, Sunlights® is an education-forward brand created By One Hairdresser, For All Hairdressers®. Originally created as the first-to-market balayage lightener brand, our line has expanded to foil lighteners, developers, shampoos, conditioners, styling products, and essential hairdressing tools. Backed by salon-tested performance and a passionate community of stylists, we’re here to help elevate the industry together!

Candy Shaw, recently named 'Educator of the Year', has been teaching her no-nonsense approach to French Cutting and Highlighting in her Academy since the early 90's. The efficiency of her techniques allows her to see up to 30 guests a day at the chair in her 50-station salon in the heart of Atlanta.

She has compartmentalized her 40+ years of knowledge into easily digestible bites so stylist across the globe can benefit from her curricula. From doing Carrie Underwood's wedding to being recognized as the NAHA 2025 Educator of the Year, Candy's mission as a stylist and educator in unwavering: to help hairdressers earn a better living and make a better life using the power of her teachings. She founded Sunlights® Professional and la Coupe French Cutting by Candy Shaw as vehicles to bring her passion for the industry to the masses. Candy Shaw is a salon owner, educator, mentor, entrepreneur, and above all an advocate for elevating the beauty industry.
