The Street Collective is a 501(c)3 organization that has served the Des Moines metro area’s transportation and recreation needs since its founding in 2008. The Street Collective, formerly the Des Moines Bike Collective, provides low- and no-cost bicycles and accessories to the public through its bike shop in Des Moines’s East Village and operates the city’s popular bikeshare program. We also advocate for alternative transportation, mass transportation, adaptations for people with disabilities, and infrastructure projects benefiting the health and equity of Central Iowa.
