Lynn Davidson

I am a published poet, essayist and poetry teacher with a PhD in Poetry. My most recent publication is a memoir, Do You Still Have Time for Chaos? published in New Zealand by Te Herenga Waka University Press in 2024, and which will come out in Scotland in 2025. I run Poetry by the River (Water of Leith) outdoor poetry writing sessions, and workshops and online poetry courses, including for the National Library of Scotland, Edinburgh Adult Education, the Poetry School, Open Book, and independently. I have had several residencies, including a Hawthornden Castle Writers Fellowship, a Bothy Project Residency in the Cairngorms, a Creative New Zealand Randell Cottage Writing Residency in Wellington, and a Mike Riddell Writer in Residence, based in Otago, New Zealand.

My passion is to explore through poetry our place in nature, and the magic, reach and mysteries of language.
