We are Laldie Ceilidhs Edinburgh. We are active ceilidh dancers. Injuries permitting, we dance at the best Edinburgh ceilidhs week in and week out, especially the fabulous Edinburgh Ceilidh Club events at Summerhall each Tuesday.

As enthusiastic (not accomplished or elegant) dancers, we create playful, carefree events. We make ceilidhs that are intense, sweaty, relentless and fun.

We started hosting events in 2019 on an ad-hoc basis, filling some gaps in the Edinburgh dancing calendar. These days we usually promote one Saturday ceilidh a month, with a selection of our favourite bands, often at Assembly Roxy.

Laldie Ceilidhs was started by Donald Maclennan and Patrick Steuart. Today the team is Sarah Blyth alongside Patrick.
