Chaplain Candi Wuhrman
Chaplain Candi Wuhrman is a Board Certified Jewish and Multicultural Chaplain, Spiritual Counselor, Grief Transformation Coach and Guide, Group Facilitator, Energy Healer, and Psychedelic Integration Specialist. She holds a Bachelor’s in Communications, a Masters in Spiritual Psychology, and a Masters in Jewish Theology with a multicultural ordination.
Chaplain Candi is an Army Veteran and has served various communities as a hospice, hospital, and prison chaplain for over 20 years. Candi is the founder and CEO of Sacred Work With Candi where she provides private chaplaincy, counseling and coaching services and programming guiding, healing, and supporting individuals and entire families facing end-of-life and deep complex grief to navigate BIG emotions, RESOLVE regret and have SACRED CONVERSATIONS so they can share their lives with dignity, honor, and freedom, and GRIEVE more easily and live more freely. Chaplain Candi Honors the Heart and Heals the Spirit as she assist along the journey embracing the challenges of perplexing experiences through illness, death, dying, grief, loss, and intergenerational, inherited, and cultural trauma.
As a chaplain, Candi differs from a therapist as she focuses on healing the human spirit at its core—where the soul has endured spiritual injuries—that often come with great loss. She says these spiritual injuries are caused by trauma that squelches our voice, robs our joy, and dims our light.
Candi assists her clients into greater connection, healing, and spiritual transformation within themselves, with Divine Presence, of one’s own understanding and resonance, and with others. She finds great joy in witnessing the profound spiritual awakenings that occur in the dying process and the exploration of the layers of grief. Candi is a funeral and memorial officiant where she creates a divine sacred experience that assists families in sharing their heart, soul, sorrow, and joy in grief.
Candi says, “Death is a process not an event and the spiritual journey is a progression of shedding the old and coming into the new—again and again. In the sacred work of grief healing, we find the gems within spiritual transformation.” Candi’s first book entitled, Moxie: A Hospice Chaplain’s Journey Through Grief, is set to launch in Summer of 2024.
Candi’s interest in psychedelics began while working with clients on integration after having psilocybin journeys. She began to notice an increased ability to process trauma, open to and expand into spiritual mystery, deepen their connection, transform more easily, and find meaning in life’s events. She discovered that fear constructs and limiting beliefs could be released and desires for more meaning and purpose developed.
Candi’s work and her presence is profoundly healing and radiates a sense of holiness as she seeks to engage the Divine in each person and walks with Spirit in her daily practice. She loves our amazing Oregon trees, mountains and rivers and enjoys adventures often with her husband, Arnie, where she connects and feels the magnificent power and vibrance of our world’s precious energies. Candi continues to work on her creative encounters and endeavors to bring more light and healing to our world.
