About Black Kids Code (Girls)

Since 2015, we’ve been on a mission to equip Black youth with the technical skills, mentorship, and representation they need to thrive in a world shaped by tech innovation. Building on that success, we launched several chapters exclusively for girls.

We offer girls more than just coding lessons. Through hands-on programs in computer science, AI, and robotics—delivered by Black female STEM professionals in a space where students feel safe and encouraged—we empower girls to see themselves as future innovators, leaders, and change-makers in a tech-driven world.

For many of our students, this is the first time they’ve been taught by someone who looks like them. That visibility matters. It shifts what they believe is possible by showing them there are no limits to what they can achieve.
