Open Data and OGP Commitments- a 2024 overview

The Open Data Charter is a multi-stakeholder collaboration between governments and experts working to open up data. It was founded in 2015 around six principles for how governments should be publishing information. The aspiration is that data should be open by default, timely and interoperable. More than 170 governments and expert organisations have joined the movement.

We will navigate how open data has been a critical part of OGP Commitments since the creation of OGP

<p>This event will try to navigate how Open Data has been a critial theme for OGP commitmets since OGP started. </p><p>We will have an overview of what open data looks like from the Global Data Barometer, then go into a bit of history of OGP commitments around open data. And finalize with two exaples of current Open Data OGP Commitments, one from Armenia and one from Uruguay.</p>
