Are You Still Here? Teaching in the Age of AI
How can teachers thrive in a world where AI tools are transforming language education? This session explores the unique strengths of human intelligence such as empathy, judgement, and pedagogical insight and how these can be enhanced, not replaced, by artificial intelligence. Participants will examine current uses of AI in language teaching, consider findings from recent research, and leave with practical classroom strategies that blend the best of both human and machine capabilities.
Meet the speaker:
Steve has spent over thirty years in ELT as a writer, a consultant, a teacher trainer, an examiner and a teacher. He has created a number of best-selling multi-level courses for teenagers and young adults, and he is regularly invited to speak at events around the world.
