BuzzConf is a conference by developers for developers thats explores the new horizons in computer science such as functional programming, distributed systems, big data, machine learning and other interdisciplinary areas and brings them to a bigger audience.

The conference will take place the Thursday 26th of April in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The conference will be hosted at the Ciudad Cultural Konex (Sarmiento 3131).

Confirmed speakers (In the following weeks we will add more confirmed speakers)

1. Steve Klabnik, core Rust developer

2. Andrea Leopardi, core Elixir developer

3. Christopher Meiklejohn creator of Lasp, a group of Erlang libraries to develop planetary scale applications. He will be talking about distributed systems.

4. Juan Linietsky will be speaking about the development of an open source game engine called Godot.

5. Mauricio Ferreyra, CTO of IncluIT, will talk about blockchain (not about cryptocurrencies) and his real experience using it for solving problems in banks.

6. Diana Maffía, philosophy doctor, she will talk about science and gender

On Friday April 27th we will host a few workshops. The place where the workshops will take place still has to be confirmed.

Areas of particular interest to the conference include:
