Advancing Learning Tour in Punta del Este

Macmillan Education Argentina

Come and join Alastair Grant to enjoy a lovely evening in Punta del Este with a lot of reflection work.
Alastair Grant - Collaborative Learning
Since the advent of the Communicative Approach, we teachers have been told that the era of “chalk and talk” is over. But how can we apply this, when we are seeking to fulfill both the needs of our students and the expectations of the curriculum? In this session, we will explore how we can meet the demands of all stakeholders in education, helping our students to learn collaboratively and making ourselves as teachers “progressively unnecessary”.

About the speaker:
Alastair is an English Teacher and Teacher Trainer. He is Academic Director at Colegio Nuevo Las Lomas and In-Schools Director at the International Language Training Centre in Buenos Aires. He is a teacher trainer for International House Montevideo, where he was previously Director of Studies.
