Simon's Ceremonies

Hi, I'm Simon, an Independent Celebrant based in Hull and covering the surrounding area.

Before starting work as a celebrant I previously worked for thirteen years as a Baptist Minister leading churches in different areas of the UK. During my role as a minister, and then, latterly as a celebrant, I have journeyed with countless families through the joys and difficulties of life, offering pastoral support and a listening ear.

During this time I have conducted hundreds of services including funerals, memorial services, weddings, vow renewals and child dedications.

One of the things I enjoy most about my role as an Independent Celebrant is being able to sit and listen to stories about peoples lives, their hopes and dreams. We are all different, and my heart is to create a unique ceremony for every occasion.

I am passionate about facilitating open and honest conversations around the topic of death and dying as I believe, that in having these conversations, we can be better prepared when it is time to say goodbye to those that we love and care for.
