NZ Centre for Global Studies
The New Zealand Centre for Global Studies (NZCGS) was established in 2012 as a think tank, primarily focused on conducting research and policy analysis on global affairs. The Centre provides expertise across four thematic programmes: Global Citizenship Education; Global Law and Governance, Climate Change and Sustainability; and Disarmament and Security.
The concept of global citizenship sits at the heart of all four programmes and starting with the establishment of a unique model of youth forums, the Centre has been at the forefront of the development and delivery of global citizenship education (GCED) at local and global levels.
