Caroline Arthur
Welcome to my little corner of Eventbrite! I'm delighted you're here and excited that you're thinking about joining one of my workshops. I can promise you fun, creativity, and plenty of couture tips and tricks along the way. Whether you've never threaded a needle or you're a seasoned maker, you'll leave feeling inspired and with something beautiful you've created with your own hands.
I'm Caroline Arthur, a British bespoke bridal gown designer who studied Couture Bridal Wear at the London College of Fashion. I've been designing, making, and remodelling sustainable wedding dresses for 25 years - and now I love sharing those skills through creative workshops, both in person and online.
You might have seen me featured on the BBC hit show "Don't Tell the Bride," or heard me commentating LIVE for The Independent at Prince Harry and Meghan's Royal Wedding at Windsor (yes, I got to talk about that dress in real time!).
I grew up in a family of dressmakers, so fabric and thread are practically in my DNA. These days, alongside running my bespoke bridal business, I mentor fashion design students and aspiring wedding dress designers, working closely with fashion colleges.
I recently published my first book, RELOVABLE, about upcycling old wedding dresses - launched at British Bridal Week in Harrogate. The book is all about giving precious garments a second life, which is exactly what we'll be doing in my bauble workshops: transforming wedding dress fabric into gorgeous keepsakes and decorations.
I live with my young family near Guildford in Surrey, and I absolutely love teaching people that they're more creative than they think. My workshops are relaxed, friendly, and filled with stories from 25 years of working with beautiful fabrics and even more beautiful brides.
So grab a cup of tea, have a browse through the workshops, and I hope to see you soon!
