Barry MITCHELL

Barry Mitchell, Born 1953, Glasgow. 1975 - Diploma in sculpture from Dundee Art School 1977 - Left our small island for adventures on the continental land-mass.

1980 - Worked in Paris as an illustrator for Biba, Marie-Claire, Cosmopolitan & Vogue magazines. Illustrated extensively for Ad agencies in Paris, Brussels & London.

1981/84- Four consecutive one man shows with Galerie Philippe Frégnac (Paris). - also exhibited at Galerie Totem (Brussels), Art Nou Mil·lenni (Barcelona) & Compass Gallery (Glasgow).

2017- 23 - Lecturer of Perspective & life drawing at LISAA School of Applied Arts (Paris)

2023 Moved back to the homeland and now happily working from studio at 20 Queen Street, Stranraer.
