Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation
GMEDC is a private, nonprofit economic development organization serving the State of Vermont Agency of Commerce and Community Development as one of twelve certified Regional Development Corporations (RDCs). We foster economic vitality and prosperity in Vermont’s Upper Connecticut River and White River Valley regions, connecting businesses to the resources they need to flourish and thrive. Think of us as “the boots on the ground” linking government, education and private sector resources to help businesses of all sizes grow, improve and thrive, promoting the economic health of our communities. Whether you are an individual starting a business or one of the largest employers in the region, GMEDC provides access to economic development products and services such as financing guidance, technical assistance, or confidential business counseling.
Additionally, we are also partnering with Vermont's Department of Tourism and Marketing on the Grants for Relocation and Outreach Works (GROW) program, providing resources and support for new Vermonters to relocate to our region, find new opportunities, and build community with locals. As part of our GROW programs, we lead the Upper Valley chapter of the Vermont Welcome Wagon, an initiative that aims to engage newcomers and provide opportunities to learn about all that the Green Mountain State has to offer it's residents.
