7. Walk and Talk

A collection of walks that may cover the same routes as other walks but at a more leisurely pace with time to stop and learn about the history of the Ironbridge Gorge from walk leaders or guest speakers. The timings for these walks will be longer.

The Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival Experience- A warm welcome.- Over 60 free walks from 2 to 21 (ish) miles over a nine-day period.- Morning, afternoon and evening walks.- Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility.- Dog friendly walks.- Friendly and experienced walk leaders who are passionate about walking and who love the area.- Medals for completing 25, 50, 75, 100 or 150 miles (Cartman Challenge)- An opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape of the Gorge, learn about its industrial heritage and even climb The Wrekin, one of our famous Shropshire landmarks which offers a bird’s eye view of the Gorge.- A medals ceremony on the last day of the Festival at the All Nations Inn from 4.30pm.So whether you are walking with us for the first time or as one of our regular walkers, we look forward to seeing you at the IFestival and hope you enjoy the experience.
