Prof. Edward (Edy) Kaufman, is a Senior Research Associate and former Director at the Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland. He has been a Senior Research and the Executive Director of the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1983 – 2004 and taught at the Departments of Political Science and International Relations.

He now teaches in the MA Peace and Conflict Program at the University of Haifa University [Israel] and the Departments of Government and Politics and Israel Studies at the University of Maryland. During the past 49 years he has been for a semester or more a Visiting or Associate Professor for a semester or longer UCLA and USC, University of Judaism, Hebrew Union College[Los Angeles] and University of Oregon [Eugene] and American University [Washington DC]; Tel Aviv University, Inter- Disciplinary Center and Beit Berl College [Israel]; Bethlehem Bible College [Palestine]; Universidad de la Republica [Uruguay]; FLACSO/San Andres University MA Program and Universidad del Salvador -USAL/Fulbright MA Program [Argentina]; Universidad Central de Venezuela.
