The host, Javier Cohen, invites you to his personal haven - a cellar nestled beneath his home. He is a guitar player who developed his musical education in Buenos Aires and New York and places his music through both languages, Tango and Jazz and is also a sommelier.
In the teaching field, he coordinated the Tango Department during 12 years at EMPA (Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda) where he teached for over 30 years.
Huge fan of Anibal Troilo he took care in person the project to digitalized all his original handwriting arrangements, a priceless archive work which was featured in the movie "Pichuco" and as researcher he have published, along with Fernando Vicente, the book "Siempre estoy llegando", a unique book focused on his musical legacy.
Javier has released seven albums and has performed and given masterclasses internationally.
Fuelled since ever by his passion for the wine universe, Javier got deeply involved in his of wineworld education, and graduated as a sommelier in 2015. Now he `s part of the faculty at the prestigious EAV (Escuela Argentina de Vinos), where he shares his true love for the art whitin the wines.
His house cellar, Desde Abajo Música y Vinos, is a hidden gem, where visitors can enjoy live music and delicious wines in an intimate atmosphere.
The speaker's enthusiasm for his craft is evident in every aspect of the cava, from the carefully curated wine selection to the live music that fulfills the air of his private sanctuary.
