Join Maxi, a volunteer guide, on this Free Tour you’re sure to enjoy!
Did you know Alicante hides secrets that aren't visible at first glance? I invite you on a unique tour that blends archaeology, rural history, and coastal landscapes into an unforgettable walk.
We start at 9:00 am at the Central Market (with a 10-minute grace period), from where we'll take the TRAM together to Albufereta. (The ticket is not included, but I can cover it in advance and you can reimburse me at the end of the tour.)
📍 What makes this tour different?
In just about 2 hours of walking, you'll travel through centuries of history: from the Roman city of Lucentum, founded in the 1st century BC, to 17th-century defensive remnants. We'll visit three of the legendary Huerta Towers, built to protect farmlands from pirate attacks: Torre Águila, Torre Santiago, and Torre Sarrió. Each tower has its own story, architecture, and role in the defense of Alicante’s countryside and the beautiful Albufereta beach.
